On Sunday, March 5, 2021, a scientific meeting of the Association of Polish Doctors was held in the lounge of the Polish Center. 38 people participated in the meeting, 12 people connected virtually via Zoom. We had the pleasure of listening to a lecture by Dr. Max Brzezicki from the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Oxford on “Advances in Functional Neurosurgery-Neurostimulation for Movement, Pain and Psychiatric Disorders”. Max is a young doctor in the middle of an academic career, has received a Clarendon Scholarship from the University of Oxford and is currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Neuroscience. His scientific work focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence to the treatment of rare neurological diseases.

After the lecture, the General Meeting of the Association of Polish Doctors was held, chaired by Dr. Elżbieta Kościesza. As a result of the vote, a new management board and president were elected. Dr. Dorota Urbaniak was re-elected president. We welcome a new member of the management board, Dr. Paweł Chomicki. At the same time, we would like to thank the outgoing members of the management board – Dr. Ania Lewandowska and Dr. Ola Fryszman-Fenton for their work so far.
